Batchelder, Los Angeles, CA  1909-1932

In addition to great tile, Batchelder made wonderful bathroom accessories.  This soap dish was left in the bisque (unglazed) form and is accented by snails on either side of the dish and in the upper corners.  The interior is smooth and the exterior is scored with parallel lines.
