Malibu Potteries, Malibu, CA  1926-1932

These are gorgeous, high-relief tiles depicting a classic Malibu design – a graceful, finely detailed peacock posed on an ornate perch.  The thick, creamy matte turquoise and lapis glazes, the ribbed, textured stone-colored background, and the rich, bronze-brown accents combine to create a special tile that is evocative of a golden past and capable of complimenting any style of contemporary as well as vintage decor.  We prefer to sell these as a pair, but would consider splitting them up.
