California Faience/California Porcelain, Berkeley, CA    1915-1950

Art pottery pieces made by William Bragdon and Chauncey Thomas were under several names between 1916-1930.   One of those names, California Porcelain, was made for only one year, sometime in the mid-1920′s.   This rare 10-sided, flared bowl has California Porcelain’s signature.   The matte glazing is speckled with taupe and light sienna.
