Unknown Tile Maker, Spain or Portugal, Circa late 1800′s

This is a great antique tile with a whimsical winged figure, or putto.   Glossy glazes are cobalt, pale blue, mustard and white on a smooth surface.  We don’t like to see big chips on tile, however this tile is so charming, that the the chips and wear look like they belong there.

5 1/2″ square x 5/8″ thick
