Mottled Green Glen Lukens Bowl

On January 20, 2017, in Mid-Century/Modern, Pottery, by nancy

Glen Lukens, Los Angeles, CA  1887-1967

Thick and drippy mottled-green over crackly-white glazing covers this vintage ceramic bowl.    Mr. Lukens was a pivotal figure in the field of American clay working.  He was an inspired teacher and artist who sparked a modern ceramics movement on the West Coast during the Great Depression.  See our other Glen Lukens pieces, listed separately.
