John Stenvall 1907-1998

In his early years, John Stenvall, originally from Wyoming, worked with the WPA art projects.   His big break came when he exhibited in NY along with Georgia O’Keefe and other known artists.   His artwork continued to evolve and became more abstract and in the 1950’s he learned how to enamel.   This vintage framed enamel depicts images of humans and animals on 6″ metal mounted on board.   Ready to hang.   We also have one more as shown in last photo.   Same size.
