Pacific Clay Products, Los Angeles, CA  1881-1840

The popular Hostess Ware line was introduced in the 1930’s in a variety of single-color glazes.  Later, in the 40’s, variations to the monochrome glazes were introduced in the form of hand-painted underglaze decoration.   This wonderful salad plate (#610) is a delightful example of this decorated ware.  Concentric rings and a highly stylized floral vine border combine to give this plate a whimsical, folk-inspired charm.  The bright yellow glaze with cinnamon accents is a great testament to the superlative glaze quality for which this company was known.   We have a variety of sizes, colors and designs that may not get added to this site; so just ask for more photos.  Priced separately.
