Made in Portugal, circa 1800’s

Selling antique tiles from Norman Karlson’s vast collection.   He traveled the world and purchased antique tiles although his books focusd on American art tile.  Floral motif in shades of blue, orange on off-white background.  The purple/brown glaze is a result of using manganese in the process.

5 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ x 3/8″ thick
