Enfield Pottery, Enfield, PA  1906-1930

This is a very cool relief tile depicting an Art Deco-inspired exotic plant/cactus motif.  The combination of the bright, silvery metallic glaze against the crystalline, vellum steel blue background is amazing.  The abstract, carved relief design of the background gives the whole design a great sense of movement and energy.
