Paul Revere Pottery, Boston, MA     1908-1942

Paul Revere Pottery was an outgrowth of Saturday Evening Girls, which consisted of a group of immigrant women who met on Saturday evenings do create craft projects.  This wonderful signed bowl is a beautiful example of their work.  This hand-thrown piece has their signature satiny glazes in delft blue over sienna.   Notice the drips, both inside and out, which give this bowl character and a unique look.   And a portion of the original paper label is still on the bottom.  It partially covers the signature and date.
