U.S. Encaustic Tile Co., Indianapolis, IN  1877-1937

A floral motif is surrounded by triangles that appear three dimensional on this antique tile.   Cobalt blue has a glossy surface and lots of crazing.   This comes from Norman Karlson’s collection and can be seen in his Encyclopedia of American Art Tiles, Region 3, page 202.
