California Faience Tea Tiles
California Faience, Berkeley, CA 1915-1950
Stella Loveland Towne, a ceramic artist, worked for Cal Faience in the 1920's and although she designed many tiles, these flower basket tiles can definitely be attributed to her. Glazed on all sides, these rounds are referred to as tea tiles. Raised lines create the designs and separate the glazes.
