Exceptional, rare, polychrome, cuerda seca round tea tile was crafted by the Mexican company Lamosa. The wonderful design is of a silhouette of a seniorita wrapped in a bright-colored shawl and mantilla. Black glaze around the edges. We understand that this factory's output was overseen by personnel who were familiar with California and San Jose potteries and in fact, their tiles are often mistaken for San Jose. The designs were marketed in the United States and are today considered extremely collectible due to their beauty and scarcity.
