Vintage Garden City Bulb Bowls #5
Garden City Pottery, San Jose, CA 1902-1987
Garden City's original glaze colors were yellow, green, blue, orange, cobalt, turquoise, black and white. While their West Coast sales were plentiful, the company also shipped wares to the East, and Macy's Dept. store was their largest customer. Here are a couple of small #5 bulb bowls made by this company. They have a hand-thrown feel and nicely scalloped top edges. White has a small firing anomaly from the kiln. A page from an old catalog is shown.
5" wide x 3" tall
Great condition
